Our Trip to Legoland
We had a great trip to Legoland! We had been looking forward to it all week. It was a very fun, even though the weather was overcast and cold (it even sprinkled on us once!)
The Legos were amazing! They statues and models were so interesting and intriguing. The engineers have designed the most amazing displays, we could have stared for hours.White House, Obama's Inauguration
New York City
My two complaints about Legoland were: #1 Legoland was not open long enough. Only 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We couldn't get through even half park in one day. 2nd: The rides were just o.k., they were more like a amusement park then a theme park. I wanted to see more Lego inspired rides.Friday, April 24, 2009

Darcy
And yes, my husband will not humor me or lower himself and watch any of Jane Austin's films. So sad, if he only knew how far it could get him in the end!

Easter Pizza
Who doesn't love pizza, especially around Easter? This is a fun, kid friendly recipe for candy pizza that my boys and I whipping up this past Monday.
Now for the cookie batter:
1 1/4 cubes (or 10 Tlbs.) softened butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup nestles mini morsels - semi sweet
Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add salt, baking soda and flour - stir til combined. Add mini morsels.
Place dough in a greased 14" round pizza pan or a 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 1" rectangular pan.
Cook for 15 to 17 minutes at 375 degrees.
While the dough is baking in a microwave safe bowl add: 1 cup milk chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Heat until melted and smooth, it makes a yummy sauce.
Once the cookie dough is done baking, smooth the sauce all over the top.
Again, let your kids go crazy and decorate the top with all the candy toppings!! Allow cookies to completely cool in pan. Once cooled serve and enjoy.
I hope everyone has a great Easter! We're off to California to spend the holiday with my sister and her family.

Quilting Stars
This pattern was going around my quilt circle as a Fourth of July/Americana idea, but I wanted to make the stars smaller and of course pink ~ no surprise there.
I used a creamy high-quality muslin(yes, there is such a thing!) around the stars - which makes them pop. I have 9 more to stars to piece and then I plan to find a fun pink for the sashings in between. With so many fabrics in the stars I will need to find just the right fabric. Sounds like I need to go shopping!!!
