Mid Week Munchies ~ summer garden foods

Last summer when I first started blogging I did two posts on what to do with your summer veggies so that you could enjoy them all winter. I thought I would link back to them, since I am doing it all over again this summer.

Corn ~ fresh corn, cooked and frozen reminds you of summer even in the bitter chill of winter.

Tomatoes ~ stewing your garden tomatoes is the perfect compliment to any winter soup.

Enjoy!

So timely! I was JUST talking about this with my husband. Conversation: ME: "We should buy yummy veggies at Farmer's Market and freeze them. How do we do it?" HIM: "I don't know."

That's actually how I eat my corn "on the cob" - because of the braces, I have to skin it off the cob!
But, I love the taste of fresh corn - and thank goodness we can freeze it and make the harvest last a little longer! Thanks for the reminders/tips!

I'm always tempted to buy a corn slicer when I go into the kitchen store. But never get one because I love the corn on the cob so much. I think you just gave me an excuse! :)
