Value Tales

Anyone have these growing up? My family did and I loved them. Value Tales were my favorite books. I loved Florence and Helen and Abe. Several months back on some social media site I saw that Value Tales were being re-published and that got me thinking...does Mom and Dad still have our old Value Tales books. (Interesting tid bit here on the books and resale.)

You betcha! Mom even had all the read-a-long cassette tapes. Priceless people, not to mention unbelievable, I didn't put a single thing away from ages 3 to 18 so for her to have all 20 original tapes...give the woman some credit. Way to go Mom, and thanks for letting me have them.

I am really excited to share these stories with my boys. I think they will really enjoy the biographical stories of the heroes and learning "the values" of each books character. Who else had these growing up or still do??

My children can't understand why I want to save all these good ole books and tapes. We didn't have those, but they listened to "Your Story Hour" historical stories. I love these stories.

Oh, my! We had these growing up and I LOVED them too! I'm pretty sure my mom and dad still have them in their family room bookcase. Hmmm...I may have to "borrow" them. Thanks for the memories!

I do the same things with things from my childhood that I loved. With me it is introducing the kids to the music that I loved.

What a treat to get the books and tapes after all the years have gone by. They look so good in the pictures!
I wonder what else you could get from your Mom and Dad's attic er...
pool room!

How fun! We grew up on the Brite (Janeen Brady) music. Same idea, though. :)

Oooh, that's so cool! I've never heard of these -- how lucky you are to still have them for your boys!

Fantastic! We love Louis Pasteur, because the vaccine is soldiers that fight the monsters inside the little rabies-bitten boy. And Terry Fox is one of the books classified as "Mom cries by the end books".
