Quilting Stars

I am participating in Star week over at Molly's Blog. For my stars, I decided I wanted to share the star quilt I am slowly working on. Sad to admit but I started these blocks last spring/summer and actually miss placed them. Which is not a shock if you saw my quilt room!!!

This pattern was going around my quilt circle as a Fourth of July/Americana idea, but I wanted to make the stars smaller and of course pink ~ no surprise there.

I used a creamy high-quality muslin(yes, there is such a thing!) around the stars - which makes them pop. I have 9 more to stars to piece and then I plan to find a fun pink for the sashings in between. With so many fabrics in the stars I will need to find just the right fabric. Sounds like I need to go shopping!!!

Thanks for participating in star week. Those are lovely stars. Great colors! I have yet to make a quilt consisting of shapes other than squares and/or rectangles. :)
